G'day.
Spent the day yesterday doing ongoing work on the Rally VR4. I had an oil leak from the front oil seal after only two months and about 150 klms of competition racing. I removed the engine and gearbox as the car needed the chassis rails straightened. After removing the timing belt cover and taking off the sprocket drive for the belt to allow access to the oil seal, I found a scratch on the crank where the front oil seal runs. I had replaced the seal last time while the engine was in the car and missed the fact it was there. I purchased a speedie seal for the crank, pushed it on the the crank and replaced the seal. Success.
Wired up a knock light and looked at fitting the new Peltor intercom, after having built a 12 to 9volt transformer for a power supply. Ran out of time so will wait till one night this week to continue.
