I'm sorry that for the last couple week I've been asking so many question.
Fist of all I've been doing a lot of reading so I'm not just being lazy an asking you guys to hand me the answers.

This should be my last couple of questions.
1) if my car is going to be tune with ceddymod can I run a 3G maf or a GM maf ( have both of them available )
2) is it true that I should put on some arp head stud and a metal head gasket
3) is it true that the max boost I can run on pump gas is 20 psi ( 91 to be exact)
4) I'm trying to find as much info as I can on how to tune with ceddymod bc I would like to learn how to if anybody can direct me to the best info source for it I'll be really thankful.

I'm not familiar with ceddy mods, never used it so I can't help you there. The amount of boost you can run depends on a fuels resistance to knock and 91 is on the lower end but it also depends on turbo, timing, air/fuel... there is no set rules on the amount of boost you can run in correlation to a certain type of fuel. You may be able to only run 17 or up to 30 it depends on a lot of factors.

Ok got it. I'm just trying to make sure because I will be getting my car tune by a really big shop here in Orlando Florida an I'm not trying to go there and get laugh at

I would run the 3G maf unless you have a maf translater for the gm one. For the arp's you can swap them In one at a time without issues. They are definetly worth it. If you change to a mls headgasket you have to get the head and block machined perfectly flat. If not you risk not being able to seal the gasket/head properly and will just create problems. The oem composite gasket and arp's will do just fine. I've been running them with no issues for years. And also run 20psi on pump with no issues, it's all in your tune. You will have to run less timing so you don't have high knock, but it's doable. :)

You have not posted any information about what vehicle you drive, or about any modifications the vehicle has. I can not read your mind to tell if you have a non turbo second generation eclipse or if you drive a 3rd generation eclipse.

I have no idea what a ceddy mod is

You do not want to run a 3g maf. You do not want to run a gm maf. Neither of these will give you any horsepower

Should you do a head gasket? No you should not do a headgasket unless the one on your car is blown

Since you are new it is good to use the search function to help answer your questions

If I sent you a message and ask you if I should put new tires on my car would you be able to tell me if I need new tires? To me that is the question you are asking

Ceddymod is for black box ecus and are files to flash it. Lots of info on it on this site. And why not run a 3G or gm maf both are upgrades if done right. Also plenty of info on this site on them. And it's not about Hp it's about airflow. Which both will allow more and then that in turn can create more hp. But you do need a way to compensate and adjust for the added airflow being read, it's not just a straight swap. Don't give info out on things you don't know about please. Tons of people run gm mafs and 3G's!

I have man friend trust me. I'm asking these questions because my searches have giving me to many different answers so I'm just trying to see most of you agree with.
And I have a 98 gst 3' straight pipe, front mount inter cooler, 16g, 1000cc deathwerks, 450 walbro ( got a good deal on it ), aeromotive fpr with upgrade braded lines, fuel lab filter with upgrade lines also, aem wideband and boost gauge

There was a really good thread that I found that had a really good description on how to tune with ceddymod but I had it save to my old iPhone to my home screen an I change phones so I don't have it no more :banghead:

So an unknown member with unknown mods, gm maf you recommend as a modification to increase horse power? Stock t25 you're saying I can gain horse power with a gm maf I must have missed that thread

I'm not saying don't do them, but if you ask me to do them with no background information which tells me you don't know what it is or what it does, why would you tell him yes

How are you running 1000's without tuning? That's not a good idea bro.

Goes back to my original point. We really don't know his setup

From the questions the OP has asked, the OE maf will be fine. Since you plan to have someone do the tuning on your car, perhaps you may want to confirm they are comfortable with your method of reflashing the ecu. As far as these Ceddy Mods, please check out this site:

Ceddy Mods are designed to work in conjunction with EcuFlash. More information about EcuFlash and required hardware (tactrix cable) can be found here:
http://www.tactrix.com/index.php

To log, one would likely choose to use Evoscan. The fun part will be getting these programs installed correctly, and being able connect to the ecu.

Pump gas sweet spot is 30-34psi assuming you have turbo and supporting mods to run it. Not even going to begin to list. Would be easier if you share your setup.
Standard ARP head studs is a must!
You do not need an MLS head gasket for that boost level. MLS requires a certain finish on block and head (an RA of under 30)
Ceddymod? Just go ECMlink v3 full on an EVO MAF or if pushing power, go SD (MAP/IAT)

Speaking of ceddymods, does anyone know how to get in touch with him? Looks like he didn't pay the hosting bill so the web site is down. I am interested in buying the maps. Other posts I searched for mentioned contacting him at his paypal email address. Perhaps someone who knows this could message it to me?

Anyone who can get in touch with him please do so or provide me with a way to. If he needs help hosting http://ceddy.us so that the maps remain available I can certainly arrange for that to happen.

Im in The same boat as you man I'm just missing the xml files. I will be more than happy to help him out with some donation
