1991 eclipse 1.8.
i feel like every day theres something new wrong... yesterday i was driving home and all of a sudden the battery coolant and brake lights came on all at the same time. alternator went out.. replaced that. then the battery wasnt seeing voltage. it would charge just enough to keep it running. 12.1, 12.2 etc. battery was tested good but needs charge. rebuilt the alternator plug and replaced all the connections and it still does the same thing. unplugged the alternator relay and it started coming up. i shut the car off when i saw 22 volts WTF. put a jumper wire in place of the relay and fired it back up. came down to 14.7 which i thought was still awfully high, but better than 22. let it run for a bit, came down to 14.5. took it for a spin, and came back. shut the car off, and tried restarting it. nothing. i get like half a crank. hooked up my voltmeter and looked at it when i was cranking it. it dropped to 5 volts. did i kill the battery, or the starter? or worse.
also, if someone can tell me which wire is on the right side (looking from the back of the plug
) i want to make sure i didnt accidentally reverse them.
