So I got home from driving the girlfriend to work yesterday, car was running beautifully on the drive home, no issues at all, took it nice and easy. Got home, turned it off, proceeded to relax all day on my day off. Get in the car to go grab a coffee about 8 hours later, and lo and behold, car won't crank over.

First thought was battery, so I attempted to jump it and you can hear the starter turning the flywheel, but only about 1 crank if that, I marked the timing belt with some white chalk and the belt only moves about 5 inches when it cranks. At this point I am fairly stumped, I am going to try a new battery tonight when I get home from work.

The only other thing is that I don't hear my fuel pump kicking on at all, but the engine would still try to turn over regardless of fuel IIRC. I have a 255 I am going to throw in, but otherwise, I am at a loss.

The motor would crank over regardless of the fuel pump working or not. When you crank it over is it a sluggish sound because if so it might be your battery. How old is the battery and do you have a volt meter to check and see how many volts the battery has. If you take it to the local parts store they can do a load test and tell you if its good or bad before you buy a new one.
