Hey all
Its been a while since I have been on here. My project has been sitting for the last three years, waiting for funds. Well, I'm back at it now, and going fast. As of right now, engine/accessories are stock. I found a really cheap 20g that I want to install. I have a SBR manifold. What supporting fuel modifications, ie fuel rail/injectors (pump is plenty powerful enough) and intake/exhaust modifications should I add? I want to get around 350whp. Also, if I get DSMlink v3, do I need a MAF translator? Should I run a full 3" intake to the turbo, FMIC, 3" exhaust, 20g, and wideband o2? I feel like I'm missing something everytime I make a new shopping list. Just want some opinions/feedback, positive and negative.

Oh, and FYI, it's on a 1990 fwd laser, and the fuel pump is an external aeromotive with a 15 gallon fuel cell.

Wideband you need one. The maf look at the site ecmlink and look at your options a maf if you get full version and the maft cable.

But, does the V3 take place of the translator? Or do I need both?

Instead of going with the gm maf and translator if you get link V3, I would just go with speed density instead. They have all the details on their site about both of them and getting them both of the setup and initially tuned as well. But if you don't want gm maf, just order their cable that is a direct plug and play and you won't need the translator at that point.

I just don't want anything too restricting in regards to getting air in/out of my engine. Will my stock MAF flow enough for 350whp?

Stage 2: 350-400hp

Once the basic upgrades have been done, it's time to start looking into larger turbos and intercoolers, as well as learning the basics of fuel tuning - as bolting on parts is only half the battle at this stage. A Stage 2 setup can cost around $5000 for parts and can raise power output on a 1G DSM to nearly 400hp or more depending on the turbo upgrade and level of tuning (that's around 340whp).

This information has been on the site for years. My personal opinion is if you have to ask this question, you aren't ready for 350 HP.

^ It's a little old though. ^
That can be had for WAAAAAY less than 5k easy.

Agreed. I'm looking at $1500 max for everything. So, either I'm prepared, and am overthinking it, or I'm just trying to cover all my bases.

Very true as well. I just don't want to spend extra money on stuff that I don't have too.

My list is right around $2000. Includes:
Wideband 02
Link V3
3.5" MAF
3" downpipe
Evo3 02 housing
Boost Gauge
FIC 650cc injectors
AEM Fuel Rail
Turbo timer
TD05 20G
Motor mounts

Already have an Aeromotive pump and Aeromotive FPR. Cams I do not have.
