Up to date mods list first off.
Im planning on going holset. Really want the 6466 PTE but its way more and i cna get to 550whp with a 40 i think(plus its rebuildable!!)
SO here it is:
HX40 6 blade billet
T3 Bep 70ar v band out 3"
ERL mani with tial WG(will the hx40 fit with the erl?
Head work, full port polish over sized valves etc. ALso adjustable cam gears
BSE(should have done that when the engine was built
Minimum 1650cc(want to run e85 constantly)
Gonna pass on the SMIM, just read buschurs test on evo manis and i think the 2g will be ok for me

Tranny: Full rebuild, double syncros where needed. Quaife LSD

And if i get real spend happy(i love havin a good job LOL) i might go with the 2.3L stroker from JAM. What am i missing here? ANything
Im leaning towards kelfords to replace my crower 272s but im not sure that cost vs hp ratio would be all that great.

Last but not least i cant spend 2k for brakes so im going with the outlander 05-06 upgrade. I think itd be perfet. I dont road race

WTF? Does this really belong in the Newbie forum? With all of the jargon/acronyms and being posted here it seems more like bragging than an actual question. Just sayin.

Whoa parks, relax. I have zero traction all the way through 3rd atm. Im not bragging at all, i want honest input. Ive done my fair share of research and im most curious about the ERL hx40 combo.
I never launch btw but with the lsd i might do a couple quarter miles next year.

I would personally work on getting the power you have now to the ground first. It's what got me running low 12's with a small 16g and mostly stock motor. The car also has very good street manners, pisses my friends Sti off all the time LOL. And why ad more torque with a strocker kit when your fighting traction as it is. Are you using boost control thru ecmlink?

No not currently. I have to switch to SD soon as im WAY over running my mas. Yes, it has worried me that adding another 100+hp is just going t make it even less fun to drive. But with an lsd and stickier tires i think im gonna be ok.

Boo awd LOL, a LSD will help but won't be the final answer bro. Tire setup, stiffing up all the suspension components and a properly setup alignment will really be what helps. I say get a handle on the power you have, spending the money where needed then think about going bigger. Also read thru this http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/drag-strip/196598-where-fwds.html

Don't forget double pumper. I am fwd to just get nice slicks you be fine. AWD is boring and get rocked on the freeway and shit brakes more^^. Anyone can go fast in under 10 seconds what fun is that.

For fuel, forget a double pumper. Throw in a single Walbro 450 and call it a day. If you're planning on making some power on e85, then grab some 2200cc injectors. Also, if you plan on turning up the boost on that HX-40, then prepare to go to spin city on a FWD. My old HX-40 on 17psi and pump gas made 315 whp (wastegate pressure) on STM's dyno. The car felt pretty quick...but on 38 psi on Q16, the car was a MONSTER (went 10.30's with multiple passes at 136+ mph). A good set of slicks, or really nice street tires are in your future. I would also spend the extra money on the Kelford 272's, I noticed a huge difference once I switched from HKS 272s. I think a SMIM is important, I noticed a HUGE gain when switching from the stock 2g manifold to just a Magnus Street SMIM. I can't imagine what my 5.0L plenum RedJack Racing SMIM is going to do up top. All in all, as long as you have the fuel and tuning solution, you can make some very good power on the HX-40. Good luck putting it to the ground, though :thumb:

And SD is definitely the way to go! MAS setups are poop, IMO.

THanks dex. I love the where are the fwds at thread btw. Always check up on it. Im not going awd LOL, but thanks to everyone who suggestd it.

Ok, bigger injectors, pump is already installed(450). Now the erl and hx40? Will it sit too close to the block where the BEP housing hits the hump? Thats my only and biggest concern of this upgrade path im taking. Oh, and tires are a given. I have the hardest compound tires on now so thats probably why im spinning like crazy, but i am making quite a bit of power no question.
Forgot: Adj cam gears too.
I will look into those kelfords, i think they would help up top and perform way better than my crowers(damn kelfords are expensive tho!! waaaah)

:D
Also an aeromotive or fuellab AFPR to replace that cxracing pos u have. LOL

:D:D will do!
