Ok i know that there are tons of these posts, but i want to know specifically what i should do for my current mods. I also have a 50 trim that has a hell of a lot of potential, but this is what i have on right now

14b ported
turboXs RFL
3" exhaust
SS tubular o2 housing
SS tubular exhaust manifold
Walbro 255
Boost controller

I was thinking about going to the GM MAF, GM MAFT blow through setup instead of buying an S-AFC, but what do you guys think????
Thanks in advance:talon:

Oh yeah and i forgot to say i welcome ideas on both the 50 trim and 14b

I wouldnt mess with the Maft I have not personally not used it but, i am using the safc, its supposed to be more acurate, but i will leave that to the people who actually used it. I thinks its easier just to run a 2g maf with a safc. I see your running a 255lph fuel pump make sure you get yourself a Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator. I had the 255lph fuel pump with no afpr and its just no fun. Crappy fuel mileage, sputter. Also i would invest in a data logger so you know whats going on with your engine, and will come in real hand when you decide to put in that 50 trim.

I would say:

-AFPR (since you have a 255lph pump)
-Recirculate that bov (unless you already are...but last I knew you had to ghetto-rig the RFL to recirc. it)
-or get the MAF-T setup to properly vent
-wideband O2 sensor/gauge
-logger
-larger injectors
-FMIC

If you plan on getting the MAF-T, I wouldn't have it take an S-AFC's place. The MAF-T is very unreliable if you plan on using it for tuning and is also very hard to adjust (as you can't make that fine of an adjustment with it). I see that you have 660cc injectors on your wishlist. Those would probably not be adequate for your 50 trim. I would suggest going for DSMlink or another tuning program that can accommodate injectors larger than 650cc (which is the limit for an S-AFC) and then get as large injectors as you can. This way you plan ahead and don't max out your 660cc injectors (if they'll even be able to be used with a 50 trim).

That all looks good man, but that BOV is going to hold you back since you cant recirc it. I had one and I was running the Maf-t and I loved it. Dont vent unless using the Maf-t. Also you should pick up an AFPR. That 255 is far to big to be unregulated.

Hey everything looks good for mods. But the maf-T I wouldn't go with unless you are thinking about going 400 + HP. It isn't giving you restriction like you might think for air-flow. You could always go w/ a greddy bov and as long as the vented air goes back into the intake it will be just fine.
I would say you could go with some simple cams stage 1. But make sure you use the SAFC it works well.

IMO cams are a waste of money on anything other than a purpose built drag car. The stock cams are fine and will suffice for most anyone daily driving their car. This is my opinion, only that. No one needs to bash it or prove me wrong. Please, and thanks.

You didn't mention what your goals or budget are.

My mod list isn't updated to where my dsm is at now, but here's some advice i learned the hard way ($$$$) while modding my dsm with a 50trim turbo.

You should pick up an AFPR and some gauges to monitor all the commotion under the hood BEFORE you mod anymore. Make sure you get a Wideband 02 not a cheepo deepo disco gauge.

Skip the safc and get DSMlink and eprom ecu. You'll end up spending about 1.5x that of an AFC/logger ect... but it's well worth it.
Pick up some 650cc injectors or larger if you're going with DSMlink. otherwise don't go higher than 650cc if you're not going with DSMlink.

If you have any more questions you can read the upgrade path on the website or PM me.

good luck.
