Maintenance Plan - Help

Hi everyone,

First of all please forgive my grammar mistakes. I am from Brazil and therefore have limited English skills.

In regards to your overall parts list I think that you're being very detailed but a lot of those parts you can buy cheaper and just as reliable at a normal parts store like AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, or Oreilles auto parts. Now as far as the timing components go I think I can safely speak for most of us on this board and say that you getting them OEM is the only way to go. It must suck to be out of country and prices are higher but as long as you make each trip to the U.S. count I think you can do it at our cost as well. Good luck

You are right, but last time I had problems trying to explain what I wanted at the store - you can imagine how it went. That is why my plan was to buy in the internet and have it delivered at some of my friend's house, or even at my hotel. The prices are that different?

You don't need the charge pipe for the 1G BOV - you would just need a 1G BOV adapter if you plan on using the stock pipe. :thumb:

You can buy over the internet at those places websites and get all of the items you want shipped to the store nearest to where you are going to be next. Yes you will see up to 50% differences in some cases but yes over all the prices are that much better. As I said above, get things like timing belt and everything related to that OEM but things like gaskets, power steering belt, and other common parts at the places I mentioned.

Do you guys think I should buy any clutch component such as: OEM Clutch Slave Cylinder Assembly?

I thought about the oil pump but I guess this would be too much, since there is no sign my oil pump is bad..

If you install that 255 fuel pump you will need an afpr.

You'll overrun your stock fuel pressure regulator and will run rich. It will hinder performance and gas mileage.

Since I am not going for any upgrade yet, I still ask myself if I should really replace the stock pump.

When was the timing belt last changed??? trust me if u dont know replace that as well as the balance shaft belt which lies behind the timing belt... i learned that the hard way!! my belts broke on a casual drive to work and i ended up getting a salvaged motor! i couldve had the cylinder head rebuilt but i didnt have the time becuase its my work car and my other vehicle was out of commission at the moment

You don't need it now if you are just doing maintenance. Installing the fuel pump is a totally separate project from the engine maintenance you plan on doing. If you want to order it now, that's fine, but you will also need an AFPR. If you wanted, you could just rewire the current fuel pump for better flow.

I followed this and it works just fine.

Yes, I guess I will just the rewire for now, and keep the Walbro for whenever I have to exchange the current pump.

I already bought the parts, there is one I can't find:

"Purge control solenoid"

Do you guys know where I can find it online? I don't know if there is another name, but using this name I was unable to find it online.

Ok - so far I got everything from the list and additionally the Energy Suspension kit and the Dejon Air intake + UICP kit.
Still didn't find the "Purge control solenoid"...
