How does this sound as a mod goal list? I have already installed some of this, some i have bought and i havent received yet/ or installed, and some im saving to buy:

Performance Mods:
Cat-back Exhaust
Headers w/ Downpipe
Remove Cats
Cold Air Intake
Underdrive Pulley
Cam Gears
Bore Cylinder Heads
Intake Manifold
Throttle Body
AF/X ECU
50 Wet Shot
& ive been lookin on howell automotive at the bottem end kit? is it worth it

How does that sound??? Thanks

Sounds good.

Two things though.

1)Its header not "headers" and NT'S do not have a DP.
Here is a link to a full header system:
http://hotshot.com/headers/MT3041.htm

2) Its Cat. not "Cats." and when you're removing that what are you putting in its place? Testpipe maybe?

IMHO, you should get a head package from www.fasterthanyou.com . Their site is down right now, so check back to that website from time to time.

I already have the headers installed, they came wit a flex pipe, sorry LOL.

The cat was removed by using straight pipes.

no one esle has any helpful info? What about other mods i didnt iclude that i should probably

I would say skip the cam gears, wet shot, ecu, header, and intake maifold and just getting a turbo kit. I know a few of my buddies made there own for under $1500. I think this would be your best bet. The other mods look good though.

whoa 75 wet shot? Isnt that a little tooo Much?
Even if the engine has some mileage on it? Please let me kno on this tho LOL

Im going to consider what u said, but idk about the turbo LOL. I doubt i will be putting one on my car. I am looking for speed but this has to be a daily driver too. I mean dont get me wrong i would love it if i got the chance to put one on but i dunno LOL, thanks tho. O

Y skip the other stuff ie c. gears wet shot, header, and intake manifold?

Ya they do have a down pipe. Its part of the header. When i put my header on it said 'connect downpipe'. The section between the cat and the actual header is considered the downpipe.

he said to skip that stuff because you cant use it with a turbo. about the nitrous, you can use a 75 shot but then you are questioning reliability more so than if you just stuck with a 50 shot. i say stay with 50 until you rebuild the bottom end and can bump it up to 100. i have a friend thats on this board with some of your mods and a 50 shot running a 14.6 which is not too bad imo. there is also someone on this board with your mods, a rebuilt bottom end and a 100 shot running 13's. since it is your daily driver, you might want to think about getting the bottom end before the spray. thats what ill be doing if i keep the 2gnt rather than getting a gst:dsm:

If your search around you will find that the 420A can handle a 75 shot for a very long time. You do not need to upgrade any internals or fuel pump/ injectors. The only thing I would change is geting some colder spark plugs. 50 or 75 shot, it will still wear down your engine, my as well get the most while you can:thumb:

when you look at it in that respect, then you might as well go with the higher shot:dsm:

i have to research the sprark plugs to see which would be best? So this is what im thinking im going to do.

I already have some of the mods on the list i made. What im going to do is get everything, and get nitrous last (before the bottom end kit tho). It is a daily driver but im a high school student i drive to.from work, to parties etc on the weekend.

Also i have heard with the nitrous and the ecu can have a bad effect ie exploding engines LOL. Someone on anotehr board said that, i think. Well is this true? Am i going to need an ignition controller or retard? or i just shouldnt get the ecu (which makes redline 8300)

If you want to get technical, it is called the Front Exhaust Pipe.
Haynes.

The reason this happens is because the ECU upgrade advances the timing, so when you put 2 items together that advance the timing....BOOM!

There is a MSD unit which lets you retard the timing when spraying, can't think of the specific unit's name but I'll find out.

If you don't know what you're doing when you install your nitrous, and have no idea how it works you might just blow your engine anyway. It's probably one of the easiest ways. Make sure you've read up on nitrous and how it works.

yea i have just started to do my research on this, ill be checking out many sources and talk to ppl who have this on my system.

I want to look into the ignition retard. Oh and i will have it profesionaly installed when i get it, dynamic turbo does good work LOL

Don't give tech advice unless you have first-hand knowledge of the subject. Again, link to the answer and try not to guess the answer to a question. If you are not completely sure about your answer, be sure and state that in your reply. The goal is to not spread hearsay or bad information.

Look familiar?

The unit I was talking about earlier is called the MSD Start/Retard Control 8982.

If someone knows that it isn't the right unit, please correct me.
