I already have an MBC on the car, but I don't really trust it in the long run... it looks almost home made (came on tha car). I ordered the dual stage MBC from dsmparts.com, it came in a timely fashion, then I moved... twice. well I finally get the time and motivation 2 install it and it turns out that I lost the damn directions. The vacum hose routing seems easy enough, I'm assuming thatI should be able to just use the same routing as is used on the previously installed controller without any issues arising. but the thing has just 2 wires that go to the switch... they're both the same damn color...and I don't want to wire the thing the wrong way, that could potentially suck bigtime;)

has anyone purchased and installed this boost controller? it's the MMI racing dual stage MBC. What procedures do I go through to set the boost levels properly? I seem to remember the directions saying that it comes pre-set to stock boost??? And which wire goes where???

thanks guys!:D

I bought the MMI dual stage and have it on my car now. Here's a few things you should know:

- The way the bracket, solenoid and adjusting screw are located make this thing a bi*** to mount. Not impossible or even hard just very annoying.

- It doesn't matter which wire gets the positive lead so don't worry about that. Just solder a ring terminal to one wire and screw it to the frame somewhere to ground it. Don't forget to strip the paint for a good contact.

- With no power going to the solenoid the boost will be at 12 psi. Run power to it and the boost will go to whatever you set it at with the adjusting screw. Screw out and the boost goes down, screw in and the boost goes up.

- You're going to have to run the wire through the firewall and the switch and finally to the positive lead on the cig lighter. I installed a small led that I put next to the radio. When I flip the switch the boost goes up and the light comes on.

- Unless you really like the switch it came with I would suggest you go to radio shack and get a nicer switch.

If you want pictures of my install let me know.
