mmcd download problems

I downloading the software but as soon as it downloads i try to open it and it takes me back to the same screen where it says do u want to open, save, cancel, or more info. It does the same thing over and over everytime i try to open it. Is there anyway i can downloaded to my palm m 100 without downloading it to the computer first. Or am I doing something wrong? The site that i went to downloaded was sorceforce.net. Can somebody show me how to do this step by step Im not really computer literate. It also says that MMCd is a Zip file but I cant get it on the palm desktop to install it.

You have to first save the zip file to disk. Then you unzip it to extract the mmcd.prc file.
Next in the Palm desktop you click the button to install and browse to where you extracted the prc file and select it, followed by clicking done. Last step is to hotsync to load it on your Palm.

The sourceforge version is pretty old. There are two offshoot versions. I've posted the locations before, so search the archives for the links. One of them is on the 3Si site and I forget the other offhand.
