There is a black box with Mitsubishi name on it, closely mounted to the ecu. I would like to know what it does and how to bypass it if I can? I dont have the green security light on the dash, if I lock the door then open it up from the inside the horn will not go into panic mode. This thing serves no purpose to my knowledge and id like to get it out of here. Can anyone tell me anything about it? It is on a 95 GS-T.

Yes the light comes on. I ended up taking this thing out. It was wired into the ignition, apparently it is designed to keep a thief from starting your car. It is rather useless in my opinion because there is a little light that blinks and you push the light (button) and it lets you start the car with the key, if you dont press the light (button) then it wont let the car start. It does nothing other than disable the ignition and you simply override it by pressing a blinky light  . This is what Mitsubishi calls a security system.
