My first mods for my 95 TSi are gonna be a turbotimer and some sort of security system, hopefully in the same device.

I'm looking for a turbo timer that has some sort of security function. Alarm would be great, but even keeping ignition or gas from happening would be good too.

Does such a thing exist? If so, what brand? The only one's I saw were HKS and instead of security it had the option of giving you performance numbers from the car, which is great, but not what I'm looking for yet.

I used an Alert 750R that had a security system, turbo timer and ignition cut. It failed after a month and the factory and tech support wouldnt answer or return my phone call. DO NOT GET AN ALERT. I would recommend getting one at car toys with a nice warranty and buying a seperate turbo timer. Car toys does great installs

I was looking for an alarm that had built in turbo timer after as well. But after reading it seems like the minimum you can set the timer was 1 minute. That is way too long for me. I ahve Greddy TT and I have my preset setting to 20 seconds. I think anymore is overdoing it. People will argue this to the end, but if I run the car hard, I don't turn it off right away away anyways, i will drive it a few minutes more obviously, normally, and if I hit a light it is idling right there. By the time I actually park and stop it would have cooled it some, to where even 20 secs maybe too much. The only time I run it more than 20 sec if I do long hard highway pulls when tuning then I pull over.

To get back on topic, are there any alarms with built in turbo timers which you can set as long as you want? from at least 10 secs?
