Factory 2g security system?

What exactly does it do and how is it set off? I thought it went off if say you left the windows down, locked it and then it was unlocked by someone reaching in . Apparently not. Is mine busted or am I missing something?

yea i think it is busted since when i lock my door and open from the window reaching in, it will go off.

the stock alarm is crappy anyways, im gonna invest in a better alarm system soon when i figure out how to get my car running again.

Mine goes off if I lock it with the power lock button inside the car, then unlock it with the keypad for the aftermarket alarm . Whoever installed the aftermarket alarm was a moron
