Doesnt happen all the time but sometimes im driving and the car will start cutting out and lose power and the check engine light will start blinking.

I pulled the spark plugs one at a time while it was doing this and plug 2 and 3 had no spark at all.

Does this sound like the coil is going bad?

thanks

I did the key on off check and its showing I have a code 43 which is a cylinder missfire. How can I check to see if the problem is my coil or the Crankshaft position sensor? im quessing its one of those.

Sounds like you are losing power to the car, check the battery connectors especially the (4) smaller wires going to the positive side of the battery.

:nono: The check engine light is flashing because the car is misfiring and damaging the cat. Not because of a dead battery or wiring issue. Fix the misfire ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First thing is to check everything over. coil, spark plugs, etc. Pull the plugs and see if one is black if so that is the cyl that has the prob. You can also do a cyl drop test with the car running to find the prob.

You sure a 2g OBD2 will flash when it is miss firing? The light has always stayed lit sold when every i have had any obd2 car misfire!

code 43 missfire cylinders #2 and #3

I guess its either the coilpack going bad or my crank position sensor. which do you guys think?

In mitchell it comes up as ignition coil no1 circuit failure (connector harness or coil) so replace the coil!

code 43 is multiple misfire. not 2 and 3.

How does the car run and drive? Does it feel like a ignition misfire? How to the plugs look? Have you done a cylinder drop test? how does the poles on the coil look?

the car runs good, the problem only happens everynow and then. Its definatly ignition related seeing how when this happens there is no spark going to cylinder 3 and 4 ( I pulled the plugs out one at a time and checked )

Ill try replacing the coil if i can find one for cheap

All of this info you just stated would have saved us all a lot of time. Get a new coil and check your plugs. In the future post as much info as you can so it helps us to find your problem faster and simpler. Post back after you replace the coil and check you plugs. :)
