1G misfire and leak

ok here it goes just the other day my 93 eagle talon tsi was driving great perfect with no problems i drove to the parts store to get oil for another car and it started fine but when i started driving the car wanted to stall or die felt like a intercooler pipe blew off, so i checked and it was all good it still ran like it had a misfire. so i get home and start pulling plug wires and turns out 1&4 were dead so i replaced the coil today and started fine for a couple of seconds and then the misfire came back only on #1 cylinder. so i check all plugs and there all fouled out cyl 1,2 are soaked in fuel changed them and still same problem. so im looking around and i see a leak from under the turbo manifold on cyl 1 it smells like old fuel but it mixed might be oil i dont know. its a constant leak also the bolts on the bottom that bolts the exhaust manifold to the block were very loose. also unplugged the #1 injector to see if the leak stopped but it didn't. all help will be very much appreciated. i posted pics so you can see were the leak is and you can see its only only on #1:confused:

You're running rich in mentioned cylinders. That exhaust manifold leak is just allowing that unburnt fuel to get out around the gasket and coat your engine right there. If you said you unplugged the injector and it's still doing it, then it sounds like you may have a bad injector or two.
 
This happened to me, in my case my FPR got stuck And wouldn't open, therefor all the fuel got dumped In the cylinders closest to it (notice it's 1&2 flooding). Changed it and problem fixed. I had fuel coming out of my exhaust manifold too. Hope this helps.

Good info. Also something else to check.
 
The only other suggestions are very basic. Do a Cylinder Compression and Leakdown test to ensure the mechanical fairness of your cylinders.
 
Can anybody lend you a stock regulator that works to try it? It's five minutes to change out.
 
not to many guys out here have that part im still looking hope i can find one for cheap. plus advanced and napa and autozone all want about $100 for a oem replacement.
 
I would check injectors as previously mentioned before I went looking for bent valves. If it is a bad injector or injectors it will be an easy and simple fix.
 
true and is there anyway of telling how big my injectors are the guy i bought the car from said they were 650cc

They should be labeled with the brand, then just look up the part #. If you can't figure it out give us pictures and we'll see what we can do. :):thumb:
 
also if the injectors are bad what would be a good brand to get anything specific for our cars RC, Greddy, HKS also i want to stick with 650s or 750s

Dude, I personally love PTE injectors. But any of the above brands are good, I recommend PTE's, they have worked perfect for me.
 
Ok guys well since my problem I have taken out the injectors and two of them were very clogged went ahead and cleaned them new o-rings and a bottle of sea foam in the tank. Put them back in and now only cyl 3 is missing it has spark but seems like no fuel also this black nasty crap is coming out the down pipe. I checked the oil and its still clear so im thinking its all that dirt and crap from the fuel. Anyway wanted to see what y'all think it might be. Think it could be that injector is bad.

Also forgot to mention that I unplugged injector 3 and nothing happened I unplugged the others and car acted like it was supposed to shuttered and ran like crap so there good. Just #3 I noticed nothing happened
