Anyone have instructions to install a mesh grill on a 97-99 Eclipse??
grab some mesh, a bag of zipties, and your golden! no instructions needed

if you wanna do it nice, cut out the mesh a little bigger than the size of the bumper opening, place it behind the opening and bend it over the lip of the bumer and bondo or fiberglass it onto the back side of the bumper. That way you don't ahve to worry about zip ties breaking or corroding.....this is obviously a more permanent solution tho.

I just installed a home depot grill on my gf's brother cavalier that had an enormous body kit opening. I used an adhesive that would stick to anything, strongest adhesive they sold and I cut the mesh larger than the opening and folded it around. turned out very nice for onlt $10.00 with the purchase of the mesh(2ftx8ft sheet).

I honestly cant remember, but if you go into home depot, lowes etc and ask for some strong adhesive, they should be able to hook you up. It is in the caulk section:)

Thanks, good luck with the mesh grill. The mesh is used for stucco. Just so you know what to look for.

Sorry, you can't. You'll have to remove the rest of the car, starting at the rear license plate in order to access anything behind the screen at any time in the future. You may want to leave the hatch off to save some time getting in and out of the car.

Hey anyone know where i can get some good big sheets of mesh grille(Gutter Guard), I went to my local home depot and they only had sheets that were about 4" high and like 50" wide to fit onto a narrow long gutter, but i want it big enough to cover my big opening in the front, anyone got any ideas? other stores to look at?

I actuall did this last week and every one has been telling me that my car looks alot better with the grill. I went to The Building Box and got 2 sheets for $5 each. I used one for the center and then I took off my fog lights and put mesh where the fog lights were. Of coarse I had a bunch of rusty bolts and my dad broke about 7 of them so we had to drill the broken pieces out and tap them but hey it'll all good.

You could do what I did. Go to Home Depot, and go to the Building Materials section. Look for something called "diamond mesh", it's used for applying stucco to brickwork. It comes in 4'x8' sheets of galvanized steel. Looks just like the expensive stuff, but 1) it's not aluminum, but steel, so it's a bit tougher and 2) comes in that awful zinc plating, so you'll need to spray paint it. This protects the steel, and makes it look much better.

It ran about $3-$4 for the sheet. You could then sell hunks of it to others for whatever price you want.

hmm i want to see some pics of this on a 1G before i consider it I was thinking about it a while back but only doing where the fog lights were i dont see doing the mouth of it looking good on my 90...

Finally got it installed after about an hour and a half. Total cost=6$ at Home Depot. I managed to install it without taking the bumper off. I ziptied it to holes in the black piece behind the bumper, and then tied it all together. It looks pretty good, I need to adjust the piece on the far left, it has a little gap between it and the mid piece. All in all, not bad for 6 bucks
