Megan Racing headers, which one?

ebay things only go so far, honestly for a intake and exhaust its not going to be a big difference, main issue we are talking about is the difficulty of finding a 4-2-1 ebay header because like most are saying 4-2-1>4-1

yea the AF/X underdrive pully is def on my list, Im also thinking of doing a lager throttle body and the DC headers. After that Im going to stop with the bolt on and look into the whole mega squirt and wideband thing. I've been doing some reading on them and sounds like a real good investment, even if they confuse the crap out of me. haha but i'll learn eventually

There's really no need for megasquirt or a wideband unless you are planning on doing forced induction.

Widebands are super simple, lower numbers = richer & higher numbers = leaner.

You have a target a/f ratio depending on what fuel type and if your vehicle has f/i that you will aim for.

If you are planning on going forced induction, save your money on the header, and go ahead and buy something to go towards that. You will have no need for that n/a header if you decide to go turbo.

So if I go turbo I can still run the DC sport header right. Or is there a different type of header I will need?

No you will not be able to. A turbocharger is mounted on the exhaust manifold/turbo header and is spun my the exhaust gases as they leave the engine. It goes right in the middle of where your DC Sport headers go.

when you go turbo, it does not matter what headers you are running, they will need to be replaced for a turbo manifold.

That is correct.

Wow careful on the misinformation, any type of mod can benefit more from tuning. Granted i wouldn't recommend the money from tuning with just a few bolt ons, but MSnS will give you better numbers regardless of being turbo or NA. Spot on AFR along with advanced timing and ignition timing (talking NA here) will give you more power even out of a stock engine (although your AFR should be spot on already with a stock motor)

your exhaust system will be fine but everything post-cat will need to go. (header, downpipe) and the new turbo manifold and downpipe should be sold with the kit. i have seen ebay kits for around 800 dollars but they say you will also need to get your own downpipe unless you buy theirs for like another 2-3 hundred more

I've been looking at the ebay turbo kits. Im not sure which ones to stay away from. Any advice on which kind/band. I would like to spend around $800 on it... is that even possible to get a decent turbo for that much. Any links to some would be great, thanks.

There was no misinformation in my post.

I never said tuning wasn't beneficial; I said that there is no real need if you never plan to be f/i.... Which is very true, especially on a DD n/t eclipse.

... i guess it all depends on ones goals for their dd n/a. i mean if you are spending money to gain hp, a $350 MSnS should net you around 10 whp at least, so when you think of it like that its worth the money for the $/hp ratio, least in NA, yet like i said, depends on the goals, for someones DD they might not want to go through the installation and learning required with it

To the OP: you should really sit down and get a good idea of what you want to do, i mean we debated for a couple days on headers for you and then you decide you want to turbo. Think about what you really want to do with your car, it will save you a lot of time and money.

A lot of people also don't know how to properly tune, they have the relatively high probability of losing power and the possibility of causing damage to their engine.

sorry. I do have to admit that I've been going back and forth with this car and what want to do with it. I think for me personally Im always wanting more, as in more power. I think if I leave it N/A I would never be satisfied with it. And turbo is the other way to go. So thank you to all you that have helped out with this thread.
