I dont have an air nipple on the J-pipe I just got and wont be able to install one till this weekend. Can I hook up MBC pressure source at the FPR or would it be better to hook up at BOV source? Thanks

You could T the BOV line and run one side to the intake manifold and the other to the wastegate, but do not install the MBC until you have a proper boost source - just run wastegate pressure.

You can use the BOV line, T into it run the new added line to the MBC and then to the waste gate. The MBC will work off of the BOV line the same as it will off the J pipe. The BOV line is straight off the manifold so it is a good boost source. If it makes you feel more warm and fuzzy you can always swap it back to the j pipe when you get one with a nipple, but it is not going to make a noticable difference. Some people may say the j pipe is better because it gets the boost first and thus gives a more instant response to the mbc but you are talking about milliseconds, so it isn't going to matter. Plus having the MBC hooked to manifold boost source it is the actual boost the engine is receiving accounting for any pressure loss due to piping and intercooler, etc.

It has been proven that the teeing off the BOV line is not the best thing to do.:nono: Also, the closer to the outlet of the compressor the better.;)

panamarojo, you should just wait and do it right to begin with.

This.

Don't T into the BOV reference line.

Your BOV and MBC won't work as well as they should whey they are teed together. There is a reason why it's been deemed to not use any T'd lines for the BOV, wastegate, and MBC. Each device should have it's own dedicated line.
The shorter and closer the line is to the source the more accurate your boost will be.

And yes, you are noticing more response due to the hard pipe as you took out a a restriction a possible boost leaks from cracked pipe.

Speaking of that, did you perform a boost leak test after swapping in the new pipe? Anytime you mess with your intake system you should ALWAYS do a boost leak test to ensure your connections are sealed properly.
