Mazda Protege lip fits 92-94 Talons yes!!

Sorry guys I had to shoot out to Boston + My new digital cam was set to high so I can't (don't know how) to toss it into this thread. I did upload a new pic in the gallery so if some one knows how to move it over that would be great. When I get back (Toronto) I will send a pic of the products I used to complete this project. I think I now have the worlds only Talon with a lip

hey everyone, like i said before, if it fits a 92-94, then it will fit a 90-91 because the ground effects are all the same, the only difference is the lights on the front and the tail lights on the talon, thats it, IT WILL FIT.

how much was it to get the piece extended? Really if you've used fiber glass before its a DIY project. The paint is what I would'nt be able to match.

Jumping to conclusions there bud. The 90-91s have a different bumper. Ground effects are also different.

WTF where can you get this? Its not on mazdaspeed.com as someone suggested, and I cant find it anywhere online. Looks like I would be better off spending that $300 on a conservative 1gb "body kit" bumper.

Yep about 8 months ago my friend sold me the lip. I finished it off last summer and then lost it to a deer on I 90. I was just showing what it would look like finished. I will be buying another one as I think it looks great on the 92/94 talons. I'm not sure if it will fit on the 90/91 cars.

Are there any updates on how your car looks now? or has anyone else tried this RARE modification. It looks nice...and I was looking for something trick/custom but still clean looking. I am suprised no one else has done this or knows about it.

What else can you tell me about fitment? I am seriously interested in trying it on my 92.

If Hottallon wanted to send me his modified lip I could make a mold. Or if someone or someones plural bought me a lip I could find a 1g around here to use to modify the sides.
Made out of fiberglass I could probably sell them for $100- 150, maybe less once the mold fab time was payed off.

I would buy a lip from you for sure if it was $100 - $150. Someone please get yoshimitsuspeed a Protege lip

It was an aftermarket only lip offered my Mazda dealers I think. They went for like $400 from the dealer or something. Who knows if theyre even made anymore.

But if you were able to fab one up, I would DEFINATELY hit one up for $150 or even $200

ok it is a factory option mazdastuff.com has them but for $251 I imagine someone some where has them in their car.. and i do not even wanna think about the shipping i will keep looking

Just a thought, but wouldn't this mean that all/most of the lips made for that model protege would fit the 1st gens? That'd be a nice improvement over the current selection of kits for the 1g's.

Also, how about the Protege 5? How diff is that?
