i dont really mind just hanging out in a parking lot chattin but it would be nice to do something there is a pool hall not to far from the 580/680 interchange if you guys would be interested in that or theres fudruckers by the big imax theater, or nations burgers (way better then in n out imo) i cant think of anything else since i havent been to dublin in almost a year haha

Well it looks like someone should post this in the Events calendar so everyone doesn't have to scroll through 3 pages to find the date, time, location, and agenda.

Hopefully I'll have the car all wrapped up and ready to drive by then. Anyone have a 1G front driver side control arm? and a upper rear control arm bolt (for AWD)? They're the last pieces in the puzzle since I screwed mine up... anyone who saves me from going to a wrecking yard tomorrow will get a free t-shirt.

well im messing up the list(but hey its my thread i can do that right ) but I am 90% sure I will be there. I might be in disneyland kicking it with mickey and shit though so who knows but I would like to attend since the "beast" a.k.a. the smoke machine is out of hybernation.

Oh and like 4g64T mentioned pool is a great idea never thought of that one before but its deffinately a great way to spend some time.

im going to pick n pull today to help my friend out with his honda project but i'll keep and eye out for any awd 1g's too. are you talking about the one bolt in the middle of the upper control arm?

Don't worry man, I went ahead and made the trip. No AWD's in either PnP yard, so I had to go to the dealer and order the bolt. I did find a front control arm at PnP though. The suspension is all put back together for the most part and I turned the key on the engine yesterday..... (fingers crossed) so far, so good. No leaks, oil pressure looks good, and everything sounds good. I'm having a hell of a time getting the base timing set though, but I think it's close - it's a little erratic.

I'll likely put the car on the ground today for the first time in 3 months and might even take it to the alignment shop. I was beginning to think the jackstands were a permanent new fixture on my car Just have to finish up the rear brakes, rear swaybar and new boost controller install (very stealthy). I'm contemplating whether or not to take it to a shop to have the tuning done right, as I don't know if I trust my skills enough to take a chance with this new engine.

Hopefully everything will go right - I'm getting a little exhausted working on it. As of right now, it looks like I'll be able to make it to the meet.

By the way, was that you driving by my house the other day with your FMIC'd Galant? I didn't even notice until one of my buddies said something. You should have stopped in. We were dropping in the motor that day.

oh damn thats cool you got it up and running i passed by one time and saw the engine on the stand i didnt make it out to the pick n pull that day cuz it started to hail haha i do have the bolt tho but i couldnt get my hands on a control arm i get a pretty decent discount at the capital mitsubishi one of my friends is a service writer over there and i made friends with sonny in the parts depot so if you need anything let me know.

HA! There are witnesses now, you can't back out now! , besides, my car sounds like its falling apart, it stalls constantly, the idle's messed up and makes funky clicking noises when i turn, so i cant pass smog, oh and no ac...i'm gonna laugh if i'm the one who ends up not showing...oh well, i'll ttyl, never heard about this awd.

Well I was driving home yesterday on 87 and I hate that road the roller coaster road on a high speed. It just snaped my springs and my struts and now its shot dead. So I just took em apart today and hopefully get a better suspention while i'm at it. Enjoy the pics oh btw does anybody have a suggestion on what springs and struts to get, but reasonable price. Need input guys i don't want to be left out. Thanks.

Those are Sprint 2" piece of crap. I'm looking for maybe 1.6" to 2" as long as they're better and doesn't sag overtime. thanks

holy shit mike wtf??!!! good thing you didn't crash or nothing like that. AS for suspension it depends on your budget, I would go with some tein flexs(pricey) or jus the standard tein coilovers. If you don't want to do taht do the tokiko illuminas(5way adjustable and groudn control springs)

When did that happen?

BTW, I read about a test of several struts side by side, and KYB AGXs beat Tein... rather surpizing....
