master cylinder thread size?

Could someone tell me what the thread size is.

10mmx1.0?

I searched for a lil while and didn't come up with much, this is for my evo but im assuming that most mitsu/dsm are using the same size. I want to start ordering my parts for my brake line tuck/abs delete.

DSM brakes on a EVO VIII

Also I'd like to run a set of DSM brakes on my evo VIII so I can run 16" wheels. Im fairly certain this can be done but once again I searched and didn't come up with much. Not to bash on the evo forums but this site has A LOT more information pertaining to building budgeted drag cars :hellyeah:

Thank you for any help you guys/girls can give me.

I'd stick with your brakes since they're a significant upgrade to us. Not only that but they're lighter calipers.
I'd spend the money else where especially since you plan on just drag racing.

Perhaps some 16s will clear with the correct offset or wheel spacers.

You will have to make an adaptor to fit the DSM front brakes. The bolts that hold your caliper to the hub are 160mm apart (IIRC) and ours are less apart (150mm?). KMV is a member on here that made brackets for us to use Evo Brakes he might be able to help you with one for going the other way.

I don't know the answer to the master cylinder question, but I'd like to know why you will switch that? I did not have to change mine to an Evo one and I'm pretty certain you do not need to change yours to a DSM one.

16's will not clear on the Evo VIII/IX just like 17's will not clear on the Evo X.

Im actually using a RS (non abs) master since i don't need abs. I need to know the fitting size so im able to make up some brake lines.

Viper, in order to run the tires id like I'd need 16" wheels. Weight is a factor and I didn't realize they are heavier then the brembos so look like ill be spending the coin on some wilwoods :(

I used SS lines made for a DSM on my Evo Brembos. You might not need new lines.

im doing a brake line tuck so im going to need some custom lines, otherwise youre right I wouldn't need them. Thank you for the reply.
