Just did a new clutch job, put in a Fidanza 4.3. Replaced the TOB, and made sure the clutch fork was in mint shape. Now when I start the car, it will not go into any gear. It will try and go into 5th, but then will just grind. When the car is off, it will go into any gear freely. Also, the clutch pedal feels kinda light for this new clutch. I bleed the slave cylinder, and look at the slave/master for leaks and they looked in good shape. I read another thread about the master cyl. pushrod having to need adjustment. Does this sound like what my problem could be? Thanks.

Yes. Also check your slave rod and see if it is even pushing on the clutch fork. You'll need a friend. But either the slave is bad, the master is bad, or the rod is out of adjustment. OR the step is off. Did you confirm the proper step height for the disk and check the FW for the step height?

Yes and if the rod is moving it still might need to be adjusted.... My cars slave looked like it was doing a perfect job. It moved right away... matched the clutch pedal perfectly but couldn't get it in gear. Adjusted master and walla

Also, I can see that the clutch is engaging and disengaging fine when I push in the clutch. Almost feels like it wants to go into gear, something just won't get it.

Do you feel a resistance rise as you press on the pedal then it get easier after a point before you get to the floor with the pedal? That would be the pressure plate diphragm releasing the clutch disk. . . Diagnosing clutch issues is hard to do over tha entarweb :) .

Well ,the first 50% of the pedal is pretty easy, and then the rest has resistance. I'm not too sure if it's normal or not because it's a brand new clutch, but the release point seems to be rational.

Well, in the resistance part, does the reistance peak then supside a little y the time you get to the floor? I suspect the master pushrod is just out of adjustment from what you just posted.
