mass air senser

Ok heres my question ------ im running a non turbo !g mods include header with straight pipe injun cold air intake k&n air filter ------- hacked canister for air filter Ive manage to ruin 3 sensers ( yes the mass air flow senser) in 2 months time - what am i doing wrong ?.........one guy sold me a 1.8 maf and let me tell you they dont work on a 2.0 any advice here ?...........please remember this is a non turbo .........also would there be any benefit at all for us non turbos to switch to a gm maf?

Nope not unless your building a N/A beast. . Sounds like you have a short some where. Is your check engine light on. If its not make shure that the bulb is still in there because some ghetto fix-r-up shops take the bulb out and say that Your car is all fixed . Just turn you key to the acc position and watch your gauges and the check engine light will come on for a second for a system self test. If it dont turn on at all then she must have been fixed by a FIX-R-UP shop.
