i searched and found 1 thread with my question, but with no responses.

my question is which is better auto cams or manual cams.

i have been told that auto cams have more low-end torque numbers, then today i was reading a thread and this guy said auto cams are crappier than the manual ones and the manual ones are more aggressive.

i currently have a head out of an 91 turbo awd auto talon in my car right now and it doesnt seem the same as my old head with manual cams in it.

could somebody please clarify my problem

thanks

The more aggressive the cam, the higher up in the rev range your power curve moves. Translated into an aswer to your question, that means that the more agressive the cam, the lower the numbers you make in the low-end.

You'll make more peak power on the manual cams, but power will come sooner on auto cams.
