manual automatic controller?

Hey you guys know the thing IPT makes, the IPT Electro-Matic Manual Controller well thats way to expense for me. I was wondering if anyone else sells a similar product for our cars, I heard that some people actually make there own, like an up shift button and a downshift button...is there plans online on how to make this?
