I have an ebay 16g LOL. I was wondering why i was making way to much boost, im pretty sure it has to do with the nut on the wastegate rod, which way should i turn it so its not hitting 30 psi? OMG

Did you try hooking up an air pump to the actuator and see what pressure the flapper opens at?

Yeah, that would sound alot like boost creep or your gauge isn't right. Wastegate pressure is what? 14psi? If you're on a MBC you should just it left to decrease how much boost you run.

Yeah but there is obviously something different with the "Ebay" wastegates, because many people have been having problems hitting to much boost. Im 100% sure its not boost creep because im running open dp with a huge port on my o2 housing and a moderate port on the flapper.

There's your problem sunny. ;) N2MB

Again I will say, test to make sure the wastegate actuator is working and at what pressure it opens the flapper by using an air compressor. Also your vacuum line is extremely long for thenwastegate and will delay the actuation time. Is there a nipple on the compressor cover? If no, then put a nipple onto the j pipe and get your source from there. Closer and shorter the line the better.

Listen to what Liquid is trying to tell you.

I have never seen using the TB as a boost source either :hmm: It is not that hard to get a nipple welded onto your j-pipe. That is what I had done. Who told you to hook it to TB?

I did loosen it then i got like 25lbs of boost LOL. should i go ahead and try more?

So STILL to answer the question. You NEVER checked the turbo wg before installation correct?

Last, 25 is then the 30 right? I mean, i thought 25 was less last time i did the math. So yea...i would loosen the bolt more.

What all is T'ed off that line as well? I didn't quite understand when you were explaining it.

Okay it comes from the nipple on the waste gate. Then it goes into a t. One goes to the P on the throttlebody and the other goes to the air intake. And LOL my bof isn't purposefully unrecirculated it fell off when it hit 25pounds cause i need to buy clamps..>.>

And i have no source of an air compressor...

I spotted the vented BOV as well. Another thing I noticed, which may have nothing to do with the over boost but look at the intake tube from the filter to the turbo. It has a pretty sharp bend in it. Might want to figure that out as well. About the "p" port on the throttle body, that port is meant for GETTING a boost reading, not for supplying a pressure source for the wastegate. Not to mention even if that port WAS good for the wastegate, its WAYYY too long. You want the shortest route possible for your wastegate pressure source whether it be a single line or an MBC.

Remove that T and just run a line straight to a nipple on the j pipe, if you don't have a nipple get one welded in. Then block off the line going to the intake because that's not doing anything. Try that.

I can see that T'ing off being a problem since the intake is vacuum and the jpipe/P on the throttle body is boost. All you're doing is letting some of that pressure escape back into the intake rather than using it to open the wastegate.
