Hey, I just hooked up my new Aeromotive FPR and there is a huge leak on one of the AN fittings between the FPR and the fuel rail. It begins spraying fuel whenever I try and crank it. We have tightened and retightened it multiple times but it still leaks. It might also be good to mention that I just did a complete rebuild and have had everything disconnected down to the block at least once before I tried to start it.

the fitting that goes into your rail did you happen to put an o-ring in there, if not then it will spray or if you did and its torn it will do the same good luck

its gotta be the rings since mine are not tight at all you could actually move the injectors up and down and it dont leak at all

He's not talking about the seals between the injectors and the fuel rail. He's talking about an aftermarket system that replaces the fuel pressure regulator at the end of the fuel rail with special fittings and a hose to put an adjustable fuel pressure regulator mounted on the firewall.

dont have to kill me for that if it was just a mistake:notgood:

Use some lower level loctite, like the blue kind (red is way too strong, usually needs to be heat up when it's taken back off again), it should seal the threads perfect and you shouldn't have anymore issues.

Teflon tape is only supposed to be used on connections that are tapered, where one part is smaller than the other. These are intended for that kind of stuff. Some of the connections you'll find in the standard AFPR system are not tapered and you'll need to use fluid sealants that are less thick.

Do not use lotite threadloc, as the regular formula is not approved for fuel. I think that company does make one that is intended for fuel lines, though I don't remember what it's called.
