Did a boost leak today and found out i had multiple boost leaks but some i cant figure out. First is the bov(ebay cheapo) and the fpr but what is confusing me is i cant pressurize past 20 psi and i have air coming out the oil cap and a loud whistle from what sounds to me the cam seal closest to to the firewall. And when driving i cant boost past 7psi in wot and the car boggs badly.. this is all on a freshly rebuilt motor and head with no more than 1500 miles on it.. i have yet to do the compression test.. any ideas?

BOV I would suggest 1gen.
Leaking from oil cap is a bad PCV. I recommend the evo/ dsm PCV carried by our vendors. Don't use ebay. I did and it suck.

The pcv is brand new but from autozone and would you happen to have a pic of what 30* looks like on the gears?? I love my dsm and have put so much cash into it and it still doesnt run right... selling has crossed my mind as much as i hate to admit it..

PCV from autozone may be bad from the time you first you bought it, many people have problems with PCV replacements other than OEM. If the PCV is good, you may be hearing the air leaking past piston rings, which is normal. That's also why it's important to set engine past TDC.

The link I gave you tells ya how to roughly get 30* but here's a more direct link

The air comming out your oil cap could just be blow by as well. Having a steady flow of air into your engine some of it will just go out your valves through your exhaust some will blow by your rings into your crankcase as well. Simply just clamp off your pcv hose and see if it improves the blow by condition. Some common leaks that are easily missed are injector seals, throttle body shaft seals, BISS, TB gaskets. i test my turbo-TB and TB-engine seperate from each other easier to pinpoint small leaks.

K i pinched the line from the pcv and put 30* atdc and that stopped the whistle from the cam seal and air from oil cap so does that mean bad pcv? Also it held psi longer but no more than 8 seconds but man i have leaks everywhere LOL...can i cap off the p e a on the throttle body?

Un-pinch the PCV to make sure. But just from the history of generic PCV valves, it probably was bad. OEM part number for it is MD024719 and you can get one from any Chyrsler or Mitsubishi dealership. Well at least, I do

Temporarily if you're trying to find a leak, yes you can disconnect the PEA hoses. Your BOV might leak if it's not hooked up during testing so remember that. Once you're done pinpointing leaks (minus PEA hoses) hook up the hoses again and spray them down with soapy water and you should be able to find them that way just fine
