MAFT solid green LED

I installed my maft the other day and was getting a blinking green led. I read up and it says it was the RPM signal. So I rewired and took the signal from the ignition module white wire. Now the green led inside is solid. My car idles at a little over 1k right now. I heard that the green led comes on at 1k. Is the unit working correctly? Any help is appreciated.
