Hello, I was trying to see if anyone can help me with this problem...I have a 90 gst with a big 16g ported. For now all is stock except turbo 2g manifold, 3inch exhaust and 3"maf with MAFT. I was running rich because I was told to leave all the settings at 0 but I read the manual and calibrated it to 450 injectors. After that my a/f gauge read accurately, but since before the turbo and the maft upgrade, the car wont rev up pass 4k under heavy acceleration... if you go gradually sometimes you can go to 4.5k and occasionally to 5k. Could it he a bad sensor or something like that? no codes on the check engine. I got a FMIC ready to go in but I dont wanna bother if its something serious...Car has no lifter noise or knock. car shows 210k miles but engine has about 75k since rebuilt. Do you have a logger? what kind of fuel trims are you getting?


I had this problem once after I installed and messed with my maf-t, but I turned the knob on the maf-t for the injectors up a few (make it think it was running bigger injectors) and it stopped doing that right away.


BTW how much boost are you running?

also you really need to get some fuel mods with that 16g, you really should of stuck with the stock turbo until you upgraded some basic mods like fuel pump and AFPR maybe even 550's
 
I'm getting the 255lph pump and 550 injectors on my car in like 2 weeks, also Im trying to get a datalogger and a s-afc but its alot of money...What afpr should I get? I read already that the B&M is bad beause it has the same size return port.

People have different opinions about the B&M.... I had one and worked great for my setup, if you have the money obviously get something than can be fully adjustable both ways.

The bad thing about the B&M is that you can't lower the fuel pressure, only raise it. Other than that I know several 11 second dsm's that run it and like it.
