MAF Pic / Description

what does the maf sensor look like for a blow through intake system. i went to a local junk yard and its like 5$ i just dont know if this is the right one or not. I found it on a first gen talon so im thinkin that it might be what im lookin for.

I dont understand how you could know about a blow through setup and the benefits of it without researching it and seeing pictures of it

a little brother that has long way to go. good luck buddy. i would search next time,i had a thread started a while back ago that goes into good detail of a blow through setup. blow through is when your car vents. yes its that ppsssssshhh sound.

also the benefit of the blow through is tuning capability's.

i know what it does but i was just wonderin if the one i saw was the right one. The only pics i saw before this thread was ones where the filter and everything was installed so i never saw the 3 internal sensors.

someone wrote a thread on here, of all the gm mafs that work.
if someone can get the location"the link".
it list's the names of all the ones that will work, then make your trip to the junk yard.
i believe that Chevy blazers with a vortec will work.
like 95 and up for years.

And though it shouldn't even have to be mentioned, don't forget the couplers, and the MAF-T to make that shiny GM MAF usable in your DSM, rather than sitting there as a shiny flow restriction. And of course a hard upper intercooler pipe to mount the new MAF in/on.

...And a BOV if your entire reason for setting up blow-through is to get the 'pssht' noise, as the cars come stock with a CBV, which is open at idle, and would thereby be sucking in unmetered and (more importantly) unfiltered air, if you just pulled off the recirc hose and taped over the intake snorkel branch.
