lower vac reading at idle?? wierd??!!

what does it mean when my boost gauge is now reading like 11vac at idle it used to read almost 20vac at idle it just noticed it and my car seems to be sluggish... any ideas guys ???

Test the intake for boost and vacum leaks and perform a compression test on the cylinders. If the numbers do not jive (I believe 165psi is norm, 120 and below is bad) perform a leakdown test.

so generaly a lower vac reading on my boost gauge then normal will mean some sort of leak or something wrong in the intercooler pipes???

Vacuum occurs between the throttle plate and the piston tops. A boost leak wouldn't be in that area.

Look for where your sensing line has kinked and is sucking itself closed.

is it possible that it might be a boost leak if my gauge is reading as it is ???? or would the boost gauge not show something like that??
