1G Lower Timing Cover, bolt behind water pump. How do I get to it?

I'd like to know how to get at the timing cover bolt behind the water pump in my 7 bolt laser.

I snapped the timing cover trying to figure it out. The water pump pulley is off and there really isn't any clearance or space to put an open end wrench or socket wrench in there. I have a spare timing cover, but want to make sure that this doesn't happen to me again.

Shallow 1/4" drive 10mm socket on a short wobble extension.
