Lower Timing cover - MD193997

I have a lower timing cover which does not fit on my 1991 4G63 motor. I pulled it off of an Eclipse manufactured Sept. 1992. Does anyone know if this will fit on another models other than late year 1992?

The part numbers for 1G timing covers are MD141454 for 6-bolts and MD193995 for 7-bolts.

MD193997 is listed in CAPS as the lower timing cover for a late model 1992 Galant VR4 with a build date in May of 1992 that is a 7-bolt -- something I find extremely strange, by the way. In any case, since you pulled it from a build date September '92 Eclipse (model year would then be a '93), it makes sense that it should be interchangeable with MD193995 for other 1G 7-bolt cars.

Late edit:
The 1G 7-bolt timing cover physically shows both MD193995 and MD193997 marking the inside of the cover. So they are absolutely interchangeable with each other.

Thanks for the info, it was a help. Except for the bottom portion it fits great. oh well just listed it on E-bay.

Now back to my old trashed timing cover for a little JB-Weld/fiberglass mix.
