Lower control arm bolt help

Hi i have a 1992 Eagle talon awd, I had my lower control arm replaced by a shifty little shop (that was my fault, i shouldve done it), I didnt realize this but when they removed and installed the lower control arm they used a pneumatic impact wrench, and getting home i was replacing my breaks i noticed one of the bolts holding on the bracket that holds the bushing is not threading in place and it very loose, i had forgot to take a pic but i hope thats enough information. Is there ideas out there how to fix this, i have access to many tools and wielding abilities.

Maybe try using a tap and a new bolt?

I'm wondering how somebody would have damaged those threads unless it was cross-threaded at some point. Even with an impact, that's a pretty big bolt. You'd have to try real hard to do some damage.

I agree with jakk. Try chasing the threads with a tap and get a new bolt. The part # for the bolt is MB176900 and, according to ASA, It's an M12 bolt 28mm long. I'll assume the thread spacing is 1.5 but you'll need to double check that yourself. Or you can just use that part # to get a replacement from a dealer.
