I have this really annoying problem i can't seem to fix. About a month ago i had my SBR 3500 and fidanza flywheel installed into my DSM. The kid i bought the car from had messed with the clutch pedal adjustment from the inside of the car. I had brought the car back to get it adjusted 5 times since it was installed but it still seems to be messed up.
Everytime i press the clutch dowm and go to 1st, the pedal pressure is firm and it goes right in, but as soon as i got to down shift or even upshift sometimes, the clutch seems to loose 50% of its pressure going down to the floor easily. When the pedal looses it pressure, it makes shifting very hard. I have a feeling that the adjustment that has been adjusted many time now from the inside underneath the dash is still not adjusted correctly. I can also smell the clutch way to much and it chatters like a mofo, especially in reverse. Please if someone could help me figure out the right adjustment or any other suggestions would be great. the last thing i did was bleed the clutch to see if that was the problem. I have read the SBR 3500 review page and people said that the pedal pressure is easy especially when shifting which leads me to still beleive it is an adjustment.

Not really know what "Dare I ask if the problem depends on turning right vs turning left? is suppose to mean, but i guess it is just a nut that need to be adjust then... Where is the "factory" setting of this and what would be my best way to find the right spot, trial and error? Any pictures anywhere???

you are a noob, aren't you?

if you need to djust your clutch get a 12 wrench, now move your drivers seat all the way back and get on your back with you head in the pedals looking up. loo kto the top of the clutch pedal, if you look from your firewall, you'll see the master cylinder boot wih a rod coming out, follow the rod until you see it come into ontact with the pedal linkage, there is screw right there loosen the screw and turn the rod, DO NOT PUSH THE ROD FOWARD OR BACKWARDS, and test you pedal feel. once you get it how ou like it tighten that nut down.

thats how to adjust your clutch if you need anymore info pm and i can give you my phone number and i can guide you thru it
