Low oil pressure brings blue smoke?

I know eclipses are known for low oil pressure and the guages are often wrong.

Well i noticed recently that when i let the car sit and idle for about 5mins or so and then give it some gas, it blows out some blue smoke, also during this time, the needle for the oil pressure sits on the half-way mark, maybe a little higher, from the bottom.

I just noticed today that the oil pan has a quite a large dent in it, it must of happened recently because 2 oil changes ago, i didn't have that dent and I didn't have the blue smoke.

Also on the last oil change i changed from synthetic to regular oil.

Let me know if i did anything to make this problem appear or if the dent is causing the issue

Thanks

actually blue smoke i thought was a state richness, because I had a car before with fried rings and it blew tons of white smoke (oil) and needed like a quart aday LOL.
What fuel pump do you have, if youve upgraded maybe your car will run better with a Afpr because you may be overruning your stock fpr, hence the blue smoke during idle situations.

The engine is a JDM engine all factory and bought a new turbo for it, which bolted diectly without any modifications.

I have new plugs but some older ngk wires on it, about 3 year old wires, if not older.

If it's running rich, how would i fix that?

Blue smoke is oil burning. White smoke is water[ coolant ] burning. Usualy has a sweet smell to it. Black is a sigh of running rich. Is the dent leaking, and causing your oil level to be low? The half way mark is not to bad. Mine sits realy close to low, untill I raise the rpm's. It sounds like you have some valve stem seals leaking. Are you venting your crank and valve cover pressures to a catch can. I've heard this will help with a little seepage of the seals. It might be a good idea to replace the valve stem seals and see if the smoking goes away or not. Its cheaper than rings and it can't hurt to have new ones. Might try and run some lucas through. That stuff works good. Had a 350 in an s10 and used the engine oil addetive and trans stuff and I could feel a difference in the trans right off the bat and the engine sounded a little quieter. May want to do an engine de carb, If you put new seals on though. Before doing the job. just to make sure the valves are clean so you don't wear out the seal too quick. Good luck, Dave.

i got the colors mixed up then... My old car had white smoke when it was burning oil and ( no coolant burning at all )??? And my car throws out white smoke if I reset the ecu by the battery but it will stop after like 4 minutes... Thats something with air fuel ratios i thought.

Compression test.

Leakdown test.

Do (or have done by a mechanic) both of those to diagnose head gasket issues, leaking valve issues, etc.

White smoke is usually coolant, though sometimes, a blown turbo will leak (and burn) oil, which sometimes causes white smoke to poof out the exhaust. I wish I had had a digital camera when my T25 died, or I'd have some great pics of fogging up two lanes of road with white smoke. Because sometimes a blown turbo will cause blue smoke, I would advise checking the turbo for shaft play by taking the intake off and trying to wiggle the compressor wheel of the turbo. If it wiggles in and out, it's shot. If it wiggles noticeably side to side or up and down, it's likely starting to fail.
