Alright I just dont done with a FULL 6 bolt swap in my 95 tsi... finally got her to crank over and NO Spark and my Compression is about 90 all the way across...

NEED some help!:talon:

ah distributor, i hope you mean coil pack.. idk where the distributor is on this car if so butt i did get a wicked shock from it the one day, ill double check it...

also my father mentioned doing a wet test on it, I'll give that a shot as wel But it seemed unlikely that all 4 would be bad.. but ill try it.

i also thought it may be the head, when i took it off it looked VARY fresh as the guy said it was. but it was a thought

let me know if you have anything else thanks

well.. if its not the rings and the head brannn* new... I mean i did put arp head studs and a como gask. on but I know damn well i put the head on good about 130tq (although head leak is possible because of all 4 being so low/=.... usually its cyld 1 an 3 are low or something not all of them...

also would water lines and oil pressure have cause and effect on low compression... Due to oil and water lines to the turbo are plugged at the moment im still waiting for lines...

let me know im going to go run the wet check

Do a wet compression test and report back. Depending on the results of the wet compression test you might also want to do a leakdown test.

alright wet test= 180 compression across the board... ive let it sit for maybe an hour and its still 180

the motor was dry for maybe 2 months when i was gettin parts for the car... IS it possible that it was lubricated/ therefore loosing compression?

let me know guys im guessn rings... but i have my old 2g block up town i might steal the 8:5 pistons out of it while I'm doin the rings

alright its been a full day... sense i did the wet compression check... before all cylinders were about 90 i put a CAP full of 5-30 in each cylinder 1 at a time and tested each one at a time..with plugs out... now they are about 170 across at 4 turns...

my father said that the compression will most likely go away in a few hour/turn overs.... although tho its cold out and the oil maybe still in there--- it has been a day and i have turned it over about 30 times and it still has compression....

May it be that the rings we're dry enough from sitting with the head off that it was loosing compression and now that the engine is lubricated better-I believe oil got throwout (only because there is Now oil in the turbo lines as there wasnt before)... possible that it maybe fixed or Not a chance....

Im only curious because ALL 4 Are the SAME and about 90... seems to me like it would be a gasket or seal problem BUT..

let me know what you think..
