Low Beam/High Beam question

I bought some new headlight housings that have two separate spots for the low beam and the high beam. My low beams are HIDS and my high beams are normal bulbs. I can not see anything when I am using my high beams, and was wondering if anybody came up with a way to have your low beams on and when you switch to your high beams, your lows stay on with your highs and when you switch back just your lows are on. Thanks

Are the HID's low beam specific? If not why can't you just swap them out, and put the HID's for the highs?

You can put hids on both. Your hid are probably so bright you dont notice the high beams. Are they going out when you switch. Both are suposed to stay on. What I mean is your high beams is on your low is suposed to be on also.

When you turn on the highs, the fogs and lows switch off, and only the highs work..Yes there is a mod you can do that the fogs stay on, but were not talking about that..

Both my highs and lows stay on, and i have 2 97's. So i think they are both supposed to stay on. The only thing, is the fogs come off when you flip to high beams.

The problem could be an adjustment problem of the lights and also you hid's put out way more light output then halogens. I would assume its just that reason why the highs seem dimmer. A way to fix that is put both hid, or swap back to stock halogens.

Well they are Hid Lows, but i also had Hid highs but they took way to long to heat up. When i switch to my highs my lows and fogs go off. So i wanted to change that so my highs stayed on with my lows.

i have the hid lows but when i switch to the highs the lows go off and my highs r super bright

What i would do is follow the wiring to see why they go off. The wires might just be rigged and tied into the fog lights so thats why they go off. Im not suure.

As for not beng able to see and the high beams taking too long, that would probably be youre best solution. Theyre is no way a regular halogen bulb can put out the same amount of light as a hid bulb. So, it would either be both hid's or both halogen. I dont know why the hid would take too long? You still have your lows on as the highs warm up, which shouldnt be more then like 5 secs.
