I guess being loud is the best thing you can do for that 1.8L turd.

I really didn't realize this was a necroed thread. I Think on a 420A, Header, 3 Inch piping, and maybe a glass pack. NO CAT OR MUFFLER!Just take off your cat, thats pretty loud
and its free
I got a dual tip chrome $120 muffler and a 3" magnaflow cat. When I cruise gently dow the road every car alarm goes off.I think its from the gauge of pipe I'm using.I got 3" chrome roll bar tubing that goes from my turbo to my cat and from my cat to my muffler in the back. All welded and grinded smooth joints. If you know how to weld go to the junk yard and find a old roll bar .cut it up and start welding! Not only does it sound good,it protects everything under my car.I left the mounts for off road lights on there just in case I want to take it of roading some day!Just take off your cat, thats pretty loud
and its free

In NJ you need a cat and a muffler.I had a cop pull me over just to ckeck itone time.I kept the sections as straight as I could and as short as I could so I could get the grinding stone with a 2 foot extension on the inside to smooth out all the joints(22 years welding ex.).NO restrictions.Isnt that all that matters(a straight, smooth flowing ,large exaust)! The only prob. is it all weighs about 33lbs.Ill put this ex. up agaist any expen. kit any day. When every body elses exausts fall apart, mine will still be there. That's got to be the crapiest flowing exhaust...
