Louder BOV

Hey, is there anyway to make the stock 2G BOV louder? just wondering, i have an adjustable BOV but i havent put it on now. i just want to screw around with it. thanks

The 2g Stock BOV is crap. It leaks. Can't hold any boost. And no. There isn't a way to modify/make it louder. I have a Greddy Type-S that I tuned the spring a little. The stock 2g BOV is louder than my Type-S. But that is the way I have the spring adjusted.

You don't want to vent with the stock 2G bov. For some it runs right. But most likely you will have idle problems. You can also do the 2g Dump Tube Mod.

chances are if you take the dump tube off and try to vent it it wont idle. if you have an aftermarket one just put it on. reciruclate it if you dont have a gm maft set up, unless you want your car to run like shit

gettin a metal intake like the injen intake increase the sound of the bov and the sound of your turbo spoolin. But if u havent cut the extension of ur dump tube inside ur intake, do dat and see if that helps.

I just did the BOV dumptube mod. Took out the entire thing and replaced it with a short piece of PVC piping.

Turbo spools much better now believe it or not, and the sound is definately more apparent. The BOV however is practically silent. It sounds closer to when I tried venting the stock (which lasted the whole trip around my neighborhood. we all do such stupid things when we're bored )

Dumptube mod is a good idea to me, but not particularly conducive to making the BOV louder believe it or not.

Dejontool intake and an open element filter... your turbo will sound louder on spool, and your BOV will sound louder when it dumps...

but most imporntantly you will be on your way to making more power...
