1g stock BOV louder?

is there a way to make a stock 1g bov louder.....i really do not want to buy a new bov i just want the stock one to be louder....and suggestions?

yeah well i am pushin 16 psi but i just wanted to find a way to make the bov louder without changing anything else

I think mines louder recirculating, i take the tube off and its sounds like a queef.

if you want it louder i think drilling holes on the bov metal tube will do it. it will make it whisle when it blows air through the tube the mod dosent make the bov unuseable or unrecirculatable but i dont know if you want a bov full of holes. the holes should be in line with each other for best sound. give it a try if you'd like

I used aluminum piping for the re-circ hose and it made it quite a bit louder. The total cost was $11, and I cut 2 pieces off the stock hose for couplers.

just cut your factory airbox open, like the one in the pic above. the metal pipe idea sounds cool too. don't drill holes in the bov or pull the pipe off, that stuff is there for a reason.

Replace any crappy stock piping with metal hard pipes helps. I have a UICP from dave brode and a full intake piping. My 1g bov is pretty damn loud for being recirculated.

My stock valve is pretty loud with uicp and 2g maf!!!

same here... mines pretty loud as well. I have gotten rid of all the stupid rubber pipes (minus the recirc) and it is decently loud. Also, a K&N Filter will make it twice as loud, put the recirc tube as close to the MAS as it can be

Like someone just mentioned above using a hard pipe for the rec fitting. My bov is loud after I did that

that sounds like a good idea i might try that myself because mines isnt loud at all. But im at stock boost so iduno.... What boost do you have to be at to really hear a difference after doing the mods posted up above??? or will the tips above work even on stock boost??? and does crushing your bov help that? and at stock boost is crushing it a bad idea?

Just switching to a hard intake pipe (w/recirculating) makes a pretty big difference. I believe crushing is only for increased boost.
