2G LOUD tick after changing seals

Had bad smoke after car was sitting for years. Through y'alls amazing help diagnosed valve stem seals were the culprit and that is cured. Now I'm having an extremely loud tick. I have attached a video...it seems to only be happening above 1300rpm..no occurrence at idle which makes me think it's not a lifter tick?

Are you sure the keepers are seated and valve guides are seated property as well? That's what it sounds like to me.

Did you remove the lifters when you did the stem seals?

I bled my lifters in new oil and they had a bit of tick when cold for the first few cold starts. The very first start was loud for about 5 seconds

I'm as sure as I can be without ripping it back apart and replacement them again! Haha

And I did not remove them, that clip is after running for about 1/2 hour burning off all the smoke, and while motor was warm

You have to remove the valve cover.

It could be as simple as a rocker falling off of a lifter which you would see right away.

It could also be a loose bolt on the cam cap causing the cam retainer to rattle against the cam.

The valve cover is a 5 minute job, don't get discouraged yet its probably still something minor

Just pull the valve cover and post a picture... Its like 10 minute job, tops. If you can't pull a valve cover on a DSM, its time to send it on down the road.
