Okay I have a 5-speed 97 Tsi fwd with nothing done to it but a boost controller wit a gauge and a k&n filter. So recently I have been driving around and the faster I go the louder my car gets, I know that the motor is being pushed more and more but I think its a problem when I'm going around 45 mph and I need to blast the radio to hear it. I am not sure how to really describe the sound, its kind of like a loud roaring sound. I am thinking its something to do with the exhaust, Im gonna check it out when I have time and Im not working. If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated. Thanks.

It could be the turbo, the intake, the exhaust, or the engine itself. The best thing you can do is to start checking to see where the noise is coming from and then determine if there is something loose or broken in that area.

check your exhaust piping....make sure that it is completely bolted up. It coupld possibly be the noise that you are hearing.
