ok, so i did a complete engine build. i put the engine in today hooked everything up and started it for the first time, i noticed when the car is running and i let the clutch pedal up the tranny makes a really loud noise, hard to explain what it sounds like its kinda like a grinding noise. it does it weather its in neutral or in any gear, it has a brand new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and f1 racing 11.5 lbs flywheel.. i have no idea what it could be, i was told it sounds like i put the clutch disc in backwards, but i know i didnt its really hard to intall a disc backwards on these motors, and i would have caught it befor hand..i cant think of anything else that would cause it, unless there's and issue with the flywheel. the clutch is also not very stiff, its pretty soft and has some delay when coming back up.. idk if this is related at all or if i just didnt bleed it all the way. any help will be greatly appreciated.

I could be that you installed the clutch backwards or maybe when you installed it the clutch wasn't lined up correctly. Could also be the throw out bearing.

Sometimes the cheaper clutches springs will rattle around. Most of the time its the really cheap ones from ebay. The throwout bearing is most likely making the noise.

its not a cheap ebay one, it is the perfection clutch made by zoom. and what could cause the throw out bearing to make that noise? its all brand new and befor i installed it i made sure the throw out bearing would spin freely.. also when i give the car gas the noise gets faster and louder, so its obviously something that spins thats making the noise. also i have not put the car on the ground or tryied to drive it yet, all this is with the front wheels off the ground.

ok, its fixed.. idk how but it is. i went to the garage today to pull the tranny and inspect stuff, but befor i began pulling the tranny i figured i would start it for the hell of it just to see if by some odd chance the noise went away, and sure enough i started it and let the clutch and it was completly gone in neutral and in first and second gear, but the noise came back in 3rd,4th, and 5th gear getting louder every gear. so i put it in 5th with the clutch out and let it run (while it was still making the noise) and it slowly started to get quiter, then eventually it went complety away. idk how but im ok with it LOL.

nut or a bolt is loose rubbing on the bottom mount. also be careful on what you buy i learned that the hard way when i bought 2 cheap ebay cheats that looked legit. # sad face

i have no idea what it was, im just glad its gone, maybe it was the cluch springs rattling and they just needed broken in a little bit ?.
