Yep, mount it like 91-GSX shows in the pics. However, the heat pumping out of that gap will still be brutal on your radiator. I trimmed up a middle piece out of aluminum sheet and shaped it to fit/wrap around the middle of the manifold where the gap is. It isn't pretty, but its not bad looking either and I'm all about functionality.
That blanket looks great too. Both of these solutions are light years ahead of just ceramic coating the manifold, which 99% of the time is no better than painting it. Swain coating is another story though, that is on my list of things to do.
I forgot about the upgraded 17 psi T28 wastegate actuator, that mod alone makes the car hit boost super hard, night and day difference.
On a T28, the 3" cat at most would cost you 10 h.p. above 6000 rpms. I prefer to run without but a highflow cat doesn't cost much in h.p. surprisingly.
