FP"BIG"t-28 HELP!

Smoke is Ok mine did the same thing when I put it on. When I ported my t-25 and put it on I had spilled oil on it and I wiped it off but there was still the oily film on it. When I started the car it smoked like hell for 5 min. I almost sh!t.
 
thank alot guys! i guess am gonna have to do some cruising tonight when i get home, to see if it will run o.k. this time am gonna raise my boost. we'll see what happened. i'm still worried about the a/f guage. i dont want to run LEAN, which was the guage is reading.
 
Sorry to stray a bit off topic, but I would figure I'd ask here because it seems many of you have installed the big/t 28 series turbos..which gaskets,bolts,nuts,washers,etc.. do you need to change when doing this upgrade or is it all reusable?..Thanks Corey..:dsm:
 
well, test drove the Spyder-T this mornig, and Man! what a fine turbo the Big28 is! i set the boost to about 15-16psi and this car glued me into my seat. wow! i guess i dont have any problem at all!!! 3rd gear, 7000rpm, and the boost was still strong and asking for more(but i have to switch gear). Big28 might not be the most powefull turbo upgrade, but hell, it does make alot, huge different from that T-25low turbo. i am so impressed about the result. as a matter of fact, while as was driving today on the intersate, there was a z06 i was following with(followed for about 7miles) and no matter how he accelerate, i kept my distance about 1-1&1/2 car, we get to speed up till 130mph.......amazing! i mean, am not saying my car can beat that z06, but am sure i made him think that i have something to prove.

So you saw a nice gain from the T-25 to the B28.:D

I am glad to hear that. I was looking at your profile and you dont have an aftermarket Intercooler, FP, Injectors, S-AFC, EGT, or Datalogger. And you were able to get a good gain just slapping on the turbo.

I figure in a week I will have all my intake and exhuast done. Just waiting for O2 elim. dp to show up. I think I may get a FP and Datalogger before I get the Big28 to be on the safe side (already have EGT). And keep my boost to about 16-17 psi. Injectors and S-AFC will be next, then front mount.

Before I was going to get all the supporting mods before the turbo upgrade, but maybe it would be benificial to go this route. What does everybody think?
 
that profile you red was an old setup. i install the following together withe the Turbo:
custom UICP(hks bov flange)
walbro 255hp pump
pre-ported manifold
pre-ported 02 housing
egt guage

coming soon:
spoolin FPR(just waiting for the 1g fuel rail)
act clutch(will be install this weekend)

you gonna like the fpB28 man!

When you get some 550's, and crank the boost on up to about 19 or 20 psi you will really be a happy camper! My 2nd and 3rd gears pull sooooo much harder now since I've added injectors.

who always rev his engine every single time he pass by, oh he likes to spin his tire too. just a thoughts:|
 
i say you crank the boost and say "COME GET SOME" LOL heheheheh Note to self : Vipers are very fast so dont blink when you race one cause if you do its over =)
