Losing Coolant???

OK my car is losing coolant while running from the drivers side lower part of the engine i cant see exactly where it is coming from but it stops when i turn the car off. also my car wont stay running because of this. Any idea's as to where it could be coming from?

Could be coming from 1 of two places, if its coming from the drivers side then I would say that u either have a bad O ring connection or you have a leaky pump gasket or the pump bearing is actually done and the leaking is coming from the leak hole on the water pump. You say that it only leaks while running so im leaning more towards O ring.

sounds like your water pump needs replaced. Its hard to say for sure without seeing it. If your lucky it could be the coolant hose to your oil filter housing. I would check there first, if it looks like it is coming from the side of the engine behind the timing cover its probably your water pump.

sure enough it was mt water pump thanks however i still have a small leak i was told it could be the line for my power steering what do you think?

I had a problem with my powersteering too. The line that runs over the top of the timing side motor mount, started leaking where the line goes from metal to rubber. Probably cause Ive been in and out of that area so much that pulling the hose out of the way caused it to leak. But I also noticed later that the rack itself was leaking aswell, so, all of it was replaced.
