Los Angeles area ecu socketers?

I am looking for someone in the LA area that can socket my 1g ecu and replace the caps. I have sent an email to Jestr tuning but I would prefer local driveup service

I am trying to smog a 92 gsx that I purchased a couple of weeks ago. It is bone stock. It has a misfire. After I replaced the plugs and wires, it was much better, but it still remains. My mechanics friend did a quick test on my car. Co2 and C0 where high which they both said was probably the cat. I picked up a new cat for the car yesterday. I changed and regapped the plugs again. Hc was high because of the misfire.

Now I am down to ecu and coil. I pulled the ecu and it has the original caps. They don't seem to be leaking, but there is no way to tell without removing them.

I need to get this thing to pass smog so I can get on with my mods Replacing the blown turbo with a b16g will be my first mod.

Plan on drop off service unless you like sitting around for a hour or two or have a new EPROM ready to go and don't mind trashing the stock one. It takes a while to clean 28 pins of solder. Sometimes I get lucky and can free the pin on the first pass but usually it takes a couple of mins per pin to get them free
It's a lot faster to cut the pins off te chip and desolder but I never do that to a ECU EPROM.

if you are still in need i live in the riverside area and i could do the caps and the socket for you. if you want to save the chip it would take me 3 hrs give or take to do it nice and clean. or i have2 1990 eproms i could pre socket and flip the pins on the inside. both of those are cali and i dont want the emissions bs on my car.pm me if you still need help
